Our class teddy is called Tadhg. Each child in Mr. Kinsella’s class brings Tadhg home for a week-end during the school year. Tadhg has been very busy visiting. Tadhg loves spending the week-end with the boys and girls.
This activity is really great for developing the children’s oral language. Each child participates in a show and tell activity the following Monday. They tell the class about their week-end with Tadhg and practise using the time connectives below;
Firstly, Secondly, Next, Following that, Then, After that, Finally.
The children also have the option of drawing a picture or writing a simple piece entitled ‘My Week-End’. This activity also helps to develop the children’s reading and writing skills.
The children are really enjoying this activity!
