On Friday 29th of April children from Mr. Kinsella’s and Ms. Hayden’s class traveled to Wexford.
Firstly the children went to the Wexford Arts Centre. The children saw their work and the work of other schools in the art gallery. They boys and girls did a fun drawing activity with the tour guide. It was great to see some of our living arts project work on display.
Secondly we did an Art workshop with Rosie and Sarah. Mr. Kinsella’s class drew items that were hidden in a sock. The boys and girls had to use their sense of touch to help them draw the item. We also drew a map of our journey from Rathnure NS to the Wexford Arts Centre. It was great to work with Rosie and Sarah again!
Next we went to the comedy hub on the Quay in Wexford. We watched a circus workshop. The performer was very good at juggling and doing tricks with electricity. He even asked members of the audience to help him on stage. This activity was a brilliant added bonus to our day out. Thanks to Mrs. Nolan for organising this extra activity!!!
Finally we headed home. It was a great day and a fantastic end to the Living Arts Project. Thanks to Mrs. Murphy, Anne and Marion for accompanying us on the trip.
